Shawn Jones is a great blues songwriter and guitarist. This blues record is about raw nerves and he wanted the recording to reflect that. It was recorded as a live trio with minimal overdubs and it gave the songs an immediacy and timeless quality.
Craig Macintyre on drums and Sam Bolle on bass (& some BG's) completed the trio.
It was such a pleasure working on this album. Apart from the trio's musical prowess, Shawn had a really interesting mix of songs.
